Airtight pass boxes
Gas-tight pass boxes with mechanically compressed doors, electromagnetic interlock and optional glove port, used where samples must move between zones without any leakage of hazardous agents.

Description
An airtight pass box transfers samples, items or documents between zones where containment matters. The chamber is built from two airtight doors and a transfer volume; many units add a glove set so operators can handle the load without opening a door. Mechanical compression presses high-elastic seals against both door leaves, forming a continuous sealing band that meets airtight requirements in the static state. Bodies are made in 304 or 316 stainless steel, which withstands the disinfectants and cleaners used in containment areas, and the structure resists wind pressure so the seal is not affected by pressure differences across the wall. An electromagnetic interlock prevents both doors from opening together, and double tempered-glass windows let staff check the inside. Options include a decontamination injection port and a validation port for dry-fog hydrogen peroxide disinfection, plus interior lighting and a UV lamp with adjustable disinfection time.
Features
- Mechanically compressed doors with high-elastic seals; airtight in the static state.
- 304 or 316 stainless steel body resistant to disinfectants and corrosion.
- Electromagnetic interlock prevents both doors opening at the same time.
- Optional glove port for handling items without opening a door.
- Optional H2O2 dry-fog decontamination injection and validation ports, interior lighting and UV lamp.
Applications
- High-containment biological laboratories (BSL-3 and BSL-4)
- Pharmaceutical cleanrooms with stringent airtightness requirements
- Chemical and biological containment areas
Supply scope
What is supplied, and what stays with the buyer.
- Pass box supplied as a fixed configuration by internal size, door arrangement, seal system and options, confirmed before quotation.
- Quoted with the door interlock, seal set and viewing windows; glove port, decontamination ports and UV lamp are listed when required.
- Wall opening preparation, mounting, sealing and power connection on site stay with the buyer or the buyer's contractor.
Configurations
Fixed configurations that can be quoted.
A configuration code fixes the dimensions, electrical data, materials and documents. Quote requests that reference a code skip the specification round.
