PTFE HEPA filters

Description
PTFE HEPA filters use expanded PTFE membrane as the filtration medium instead of glass fibre paper. The membrane fibres are 0.05–0.1 µm in diameter, giving high efficiency at low pressure drop and a smooth surface that releases collected dust. PTFE tolerates acids, alkalis and organic solvents, works continuously at 260 °C (short peaks to 280 °C), and introduces no boron or glass-fibre shedding; the source catalogue lists efficiencies up to 99.9995 % for the top classes. These properties suit areas that must stay free of copper and zinc.
